Hourglass Modernist Eyeshadow Palette

Okay truth time: I really had no interest in this palette when I first saw it online upon its release. I’m not even sure why because I’m a big fan of Hourglass cosmetics. I adore their mineral primer and I jumped on the bandwagon with their Ambient Lighting Powders (Dim Light ALL THE WAY, am I right people?!?)

BUT when I walked into Sephora last week I spotted this beaut, swatched it on my hand and fell in LOVE.

The colors are buttery and super pigmented and PERFECT. There are 4 matte colors and one shimmery taupe – making this a perfect palette for an everyday neutral eye. The Sephora website describes the 4 colors in the palette I have (Infinity) as including warm ivory, dusty rose, bronzed mauve, cool taupe, and dark cocoa. What’s great is that the shadows can be as subtle or intense as you want to make them. I’ve been using a MAC 217 and wearing the shadows everyday. Totally worth the price and I’m definitely looking into the Exposure version, full of warm plum colors!

Now going on my FIFTH snow day of my senior year semester, I’ve been indulging in some online window shopping to help keep the boredom at bay. Here are some items that have caught my eye. Man oh man I would DIE for the Balenciaga boots. If only if only I wasn’t a poor college student!
